Explore the beauty of these pristine twin lakes - Tarsar, an almond-shaped crystal-clear lake surrounded by alpine flowers, and Marsar, its sister lake on the opposite side of the mountain. Trek through dense pine forests, lush meadows, and alongside the Right Lidder River, all under the towering heights of Kolahai Mountain. Day-wise Itinerary
Arrival in Srinagar
Arrive at Srinagar Airport where our representative will meet you and transfer you to Houseboat/Hotel. Take the opportunity to explore Srinagar city and its attractions. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Srinagar - Pahalgam - Aru
Drive to Pahalgam 'the Lidder Valley' (90 km) through the towns and villages of Anantnag. Continue drive to the beautiful Aru Valley. Overnight stay in Aru.
Aru - Lidderwat Trek
Start trekking to Lidderwat through the magnificent pine forests and meadows of Aru, following alongside the Right Lidder River. Experience the pristine beauty of the forest trail. Overnight camp at Lidderwat.
Lidderwat - Tarsar Lake
Early morning trek towards Tarsar Lake. Steep ascent across a mountain pass at 4,000 meters, followed by descent. Continue trekking under the towering heights of Kolahai Mountain. Finally reach Tarsar Lake - an almond-shaped crystal-clear lake surrounded by alpine flowers of every kind. Overnight camp at Tarsar.
Tarsar - Marsar Lake
Trek to explore Marsar, the sister lake of Tarsar which lies on the opposite side of the mountain in the west. Steep 3-hour ascent followed by descent to reach another stunning alpine lake. Overnight camp at Marsar.
Marsar - Sumbal
Steady climb along a mountain pass at 4,100 meters towards the north. Continue descending to Sumbal in the Sind Valley. This is the highest point of the trek. Overnight camp at Sumbal.
Sumbal - Srinagar
Catch a taxi and drive through the scenic Sind Valley to reach Srinagar in approximately 3 hours. Transfer to Houseboat/Hotel. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Departure from Srinagar
Our representative will drop you at the airport for your onward journey. If time permits, you can explore more of Srinagar before departure.
