Day-wise Itinerary
Arrival in Srinagar - Evening Birding
Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be warmly received and transferred to your hotel. After some rest, proceed for an evening bird-watching session around Srinagar and nearby wetlands known for migratory and resident bird species. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Srinagar - Sinthantop - Daksum
After breakfast, drive towards Daksum via the scenic Sinthantop. En route, enjoy birding opportunities in alpine meadows and forested areas, home to several Himalayan bird species. On arrival, check in at hotel in Daksum. Evening birding walk to explore the local avifauna. Overnight stay in Daksum.
Daksum - Sinthantop - Pahalgam
Early morning bird watching in Daksum's dense forests. Later travel to Pahalgam via Sinthantop, stopping at selected birding spots along the way. Enjoy the rich avifauna of the region including various thrush species, finches, and woodpeckers. Upon arrival, check in at hotel. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Pahalgam Birding - Return to Srinagar
After breakfast, explore the bird-rich landscapes of Pahalgam including forest trails. Look for species like Chestnut Thrush, Kashmir Flycatcher, and various warblers. Later in the afternoon, drive back to Srinagar. Check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Srinagar - Yusmarg - Srinagar Day Trip
After breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Yusmarg, a peaceful meadow surrounded by dense forests and excellent bird-watching opportunities. Spend time observing local bird species including Koklass Pheasant, Himalayan Woodpecker, and various leaf warblers before returning to Srinagar in the evening. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Srinagar - Budgam - Srinagar Day Trip
Today, visit Budgam district, known for its rural landscapes, wetlands and diverse bird life. Enjoy birding sessions in selected areas, observing wetland species, raptors, and farmland birds before returning to Srinagar by evening. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Srinagar - Wular Lake - Kangan - Srinagar
After breakfast, head towards Wular Lake, one of Asia's largest freshwater lakes and a paradise for migratory birds including ducks, geese, and waders. Continue towards Kangan for additional bird-watching experiences in montane forests. Return to Srinagar by evening. Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast, transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey with wonderful bird watching memories of Kashmir. Note: Summer birding sessions start at 4:00 AM; Winter sessions start at 5:30 AM.
